Welcome to The Hollins Pool League.
After the original Chadderton League disbanded in the late Eighties, a brief attempt was made to revive the league, which unfortunately lasted just two seasons.
The interest was clearly still there, so three members of the Woodman pool team - brothers Adie and Quent Cartwright, and Paul Lambert, decided to resurrect the league under a new format based on the friendly, social side of the game, with a new points and rules structure.

The league was renamed The Hollins Pool League, as the majority of teams were based in that area, and 18 teams contested the first season.
Two decades on, the league is considered one of the most successful and friendly in the North West, and is still run along the same lines as when it was first introduced, with the only committee changes being that of Steve Mak replacing Quent Cartwright, and George Lockie also now assisting.
The catchment area now encompasses all pubs and clubs around the areas of Hollins, Werneth, Chadderton, Hathershaw, Failsworth and Hollinwood, and new applications from teams are always welcome.
The league fixtures generally run from March to February, with matches being played on Monday nights.
